The North America business of Diageo, a global beverage leader, is committing $10 million to support 25 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and creating permanent endowed funds to provide financial aid grants anticipated to benefit thousands of talented students in need over the years. Funds will be available for HBCU students across different disciplines and majors, and distributed according to each institution’s financial aid process.

Brewers Association Asks Can Manufacturers Institute for More Transparency Amid Aluminum Can Shortage

The Brewers Association (BA) is urging the Can Manufacturing Institute (CMI) to ensure that small and independent craft brewers have access to aluminum cans amid the years-long inventory crunch beverage producers are now facing. In a letter to the CMI, BA president and CEO Bob Pease painted a dire picture for the nation’s nearly 8,400 craft brewers. “These businesses will simply not survive that long without cans,” he wrote.

Buffalo Breweries Collaborate to Support Local Restaurants

Four Western New York breweries, and their distribution partner, have joined forces to produce a special four-pack of beer to raise funds for the Western New York restaurant community. Proceeds from the sale of this beer will be donated to Revive WNY Restaurants, a not-for-profit that was created to support the local restaurant community.
