Green Man Brewery Adds Georgia to Distribution Map

Starting in June, craft beer drinkers will be able to find Green Man beer on shelves in Georgia. This will be the fifth distribution state for the Asheville, NC-based brewery, after expanding distribution in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. Green Man began bottling 6 packs in 2013 and since has been steadily filling out its distribution footprint throughout the Southeast.

Urban Chestnut Expands Distribution throughout Kansas

As Missouri’s third largest craft brewery with about 30,000 bbls of annual brewing capacity now on-line, Urban Chestnut had been able to distribute to Kansas City, MO, and Chicago in the past two years. Last week, Urban Chestnut expanded its distribution footprint to the full state of Kansas.

Industry Leaders Join Forces to Strengthen Glass Recycling

The Glass Packaging Institute (GPI), along with beverage leaders including Diageo and New Belgium Brewing, and the glass processing and recycling industry, have convened a dynamic group of organizations to make glass recycling work in the U.S. The nearly two dozen member organizations announced today they are joining forces to create the U.S. Glass Recycling Coalition. The coalition’s primary goal is to help build a foundation to make glass recycling a successful industry, and an efficient, high-quality and convenient service consumers want and expect.

San Diego’s Green Flash Brewing has announced plans to begin national distribution of its aluminum packages. The company will begin selling three year-round offerings in 12 oz. cans next month. 6-packs of the company’s Jibe Session IPA, Passion Fruit Kicker and Sea to Sea Zwickel Lager began shipping to U.S. distributors today, according to a press release.
