San Diego’s Green Flash Brewing has announced plans to begin national distribution of its aluminum packages. The company will begin selling three year-round offerings in 12 oz. cans next month.

6-packs of the company’s Jibe Session IPA, Passion Fruit Kicker and Sea to Sea Zwickel Lager began shipping to U.S. distributors today, according to a press release.

“Green Flash continues to evolve, learn and grow through our interactions with our customers,” co-founder Mike Hinkley said via the release. “Our biggest fans want to bring Green Flash with them to more and more occasions, and cans provide them that opportunity.”

The brewery first introduced cans last September, when it delivered Jibe Session IPA in the aluminum format to a handful of test markets. The company plans to produce about 18,000 cases of cans in 2016, up from just 2,000 last year.

Jibe Session IPA and Sea to Sea Zwickel Lager will be positioned as can-only offerings, the company said, while Passion Fruit Kicker, a fruited American wheat ale, will be canned and bottled.

Green Flash said it expects to increase availability of its aluminum offerings once a “permanent canning solution” is installed. For now, the brewery currently outsources its canning operations to Mobile West Canning, a roving packaging service for beer and beverage producers in California, Arizona and Nevada.
