This December, Four Peaks Brewing Company celebrates the 3rd release of its Winter Seasonal, Odelay Mexican Chocolate Brown Ale, to the Arizona market. This spicy, chocolate brown ale will be available at the original Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe, Four Peaks Grill & Tap in Scottsdale, the Four Peaks Tasting Room on Wilson St., Four Peaks Sky Harbor Airport and for state-wide retail distribution through Hensley Beverage Company beginning mid-December.

The Third Street Brewhouse, in collaboration with the Saint John’s Abbey Arboretum, has released their winter seasonal called Sugar Shack Maple Stout. This truly unique brew is enhanced with maple syrup harvested locally at the Saint John’s Abbey, which is less than 20 miles from the brewery.

Switchyard Brewing Company announced at a preview event yesterday evening that the former RCA/Thompson site at 1320 S. Rogers St, on Bloomington’s near South side, has been selected as the future location of their destination brewpub. Working alongside Bloomington developer, First Capital Group, the 1.3-acre site bordering the McDoel Gardens neighborhood will accommodate the new 10,500 sq. ft. facility, on-site parking, and expansive outdoor patio.
Oregon Fruit Products LLC is continuing to create products that support its craft brewing clientele. The company today announced a new blood orange puree that contributes sweet notes reminiscent of navel oranges, but also a tinge of bitterness and acidity that marries very well with hops. The velvet-smooth, red-orange colored puree consists of 100% blood orange juice and pulp, with no added sugar, preservatives or additives.
Consolidation in the wholesaling business continued today when two prominent multi-state distributors of beer, wine and spirits — Chicago-based Wirtz Beverage Group and New York-based Charmer Sunbelt Group — announced a merger and the creation of a jointly owned venture, Breakthru Beverage Group. The two companies have signed an agreement that will combine their beverage alcohol operations into a new entity and simultaneously create the second-largest distributor of beer, wine and spirits in the U.S., with sales of more than $6 billion annually, behind Southern Wine & Spirits.
