JAMESPORT, NY. A must for this summer’s to-do list, the award-winning North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ & Wine Festival will return to Long Island’s North Fork this August for what can only be described as the most talked-about and most anticipated event of the summer.
On Monday, Brewbound.com brought you Part I in The Lost Abbey’s latest marketing approach – unsuspectingly crashing a private beer tasting. The video, a teaser, provided a glimpse of what was to come when brewery co-founder Tomme Arthur knocked on the door of the private event.
In April, an exploding plastic keg that killed a Redhook Brewery employee sent shockwaves through the brewing industry. On April 24th, twenty-six-year-old Ben Harris was pressurizing a keg as part of a cleaning process when it exploded. Harris, who worked at Redhook Brewery’s Portsmouth Brewery location, died shortly thereafter at nearby Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

The Austin, Texas-based Jester King Craft Brewery today announced plans to periodically send limited supply of its beer to a number of new out-of-state markets. The Belchertown, Mass.-based Shelton Brothers Importers acted as the brewery’s “master distributor” for the most recent shipment.

The Brewers Association today announced details regarding the 2012 Great American Beer Festival (GABF), the annual beer sampling event being held October 11-13 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo. The GABF is largest beer event in the U.S. It spans across three days and is attended by 49,000 thirsty craft beer fans.
