2/12/2021 -- Chinese New Year at Lucky Envelope Brewing

Celebrate Chinese New Year with special Year of the Ox beer, merch, and red envelope giveaways.

February 12th and 13th, Lucky Envelope will be celebrating our biggest cultural event of the year— Chinese New Year! Year of the Metal Rat did not go as expected, but that doesn't mean we can't approach the Year of the Metal Ox with the same confidence and diligence that 2021's Chinese Zodiac embodies. Lucky red envelope giveaways, special release beers, and Year of the Metal Ox merchandise await you on both Friday and Saturday from noon to 9pm.

Seattle craft beer enthusiasts can look forward to several exciting Lunar New Year beer releases that can be enjoyed at the Tasting Room or at home. From a new Coffee-Vanilla rendition of our Double Happiness Barrel-Aged Imperial Porter to limited draft releases— including the Mijiaya Historic Chinese Beer and a Li Hing Mui Pineapple Sour— there will be something to satisfy every kind of beer lover. The highlight of this event is the release of the tea-infused Metal Ox Juicy IPA, the recipe of which is the brain child of Brewer Barry Chan and experimental brewers of North Carolina’s Highland Brewing. This marks our second beer collaboration with the east-coast Chinese-American owned brewery, though this year the beer will be available exclusively at Lucky Envelope.

The Metal Ox Juicy IPA and 2021 Double Happiness Imperial Porter will be available in cans from the Tasting Room and through distribution. The Mijiaya Historic Chinese Beer and Li Hing Mui Pineapple Sour are limited draft releases available at the Tasting Room only with 16oz crowler fills to-go available.
