Outer Range Brewing Co., the Frisco-based craft brewery rooted in mountain culture, has been named the Official Beer Partner of Vail Resorts in Colorado, bringing locally brewed flavor to some of the state’s most iconic peaks and officially stepping into its role as the “Official Après Beer of the Mountains.” As part of the partnership, Outer Range will also debut Rally Point, a limited-time draft Pale Ale created in collaboration with Vail Resorts’ Epic Military Pass. For every Rally Point sold, Vail Resorts will donate $2 to the Vail Veterans Program, up to $50,000.
A Summit County favorite and small, independent brewery founded in 2016, Outer Range has long been shaped by the rhythms of ski season and the après ritual that follows. Through this partnership, Outer Range officially steps into its role as the Official Après Beer of the Mountains, with its hand-crafted beers now poured across Vail Resorts’ Colorado destinations—Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Crested Butte—and available at select base-area restaurants and bars, perfectly timed for post-lap hangs and golden-hour Après events.
“We’re honored to partner with Vail Resorts and bring authentic Colorado craft beer to the mountains that define our way of life,” said Emily Cleghorn, Founder of Outer Range Brewing Co. “Après isn’t just a moment—it’s a ritual. It’s where stories are told, friendships are strengthened, and the day on the mountain is celebrated. We’re proud to be the beer that lives in that space.”
As part of the partnership, Outer Range will also debut Rally Point, a limited-time draft Pale Ale created in collaboration with Vail Resorts’ Epic Military Pass. Designed as a lower ABV Pale Ale that drinks well at altitude, Rally Point will be available at select on-mountain locations, including Two Elk at Vail Mountain, Mamie’s at Beaver Creek, Outbar at Breckenridge, and Butte 66 at Crested Butte, with Keystone locations to be announced.
More than a seasonal release, Rally Point carries a philanthropic mission. For every Rally Point sold, Vail Resorts will donate $2 to the Vail Veterans Program, up to $50,000, supporting programs that serve veterans and their families across mountain communities. Over 60 years ago, Vail Resorts was founded by WWII veterans Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton of the 10th Mountain Division. The Epic Military Pass was created to honor the legacy of its founders and the brave men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Available at a discount compared to the full-price Epic Pass, the Epic Military Pass provides unlimited, unrestricted access to all of Vail Resorts’ owned and operated mountains. All passes are currently available for the 2026/27 winter season. Active & Retired Military, plus their dependents, can ski when and where they want for $215. Veterans and their dependents get the same unlimited access for $620.
The beer’s name draws inspiration from a concept widely understood in the military—a rally point is the place where people regroup after being dispersed. “The idea carries multiple meanings within the partnership: the mountain gathering places where the beer will be served, and a broader call to rally around the military community,” said Cleghorn. “My husband, Outer Range cofounder Lee Cleghorn, and I served in the Army and were stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, so supporting the military community in the mountains we now call home feels incredibly meaningful. Rally Point is about creating a place to come together—on the mountain, over a beer, and in support of those who served.”
Founded in 2016, Outer Range has built a national reputation for hop-forward beers, technical precision, and a community-first mindset—values that align naturally with Vail Resorts’ Colorado destinations. Through this partnership, Outer Range brings its vision of après-skiing front and center: a moment to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate time spent outdoors with friends and family.
Over the past nine years, Outer Range Brewing has earned accolades across the craft beer world, notably being named #1 Small Brewery in the US by Craft Beer & Brewing’s Readers’ Choice Awards. In November 2023, the brewery expanded internationally by opening a second location in the French Alps. Situated at the base of Mont Blanc in Sallanches, France, the alpine brewery serves the local community and nearby mountain towns including Chamonix, Megève, and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains—carrying the same mountain-driven spirit that defines its Frisco roots.
Outer Range beers are now pouring at Vail Resorts’ Colorado destinations and available year-round at the Frisco brewery (182 Lusher Court).
