STEVENS POINT, WI — Point Oktoberfest and Whole Hog Pumpkin Ale, the Stevens Point Brewery’s fall seasonal craft beers, are the toast of the season after winning gold medals at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival in Denver on October 13.
Lewiston, Maine-based Baxter Brewing today announced a $2.5 million facility expansion less than two years into operation. The young company is riding a wave of success after launching cans and kegs of its beer last January. Sweetwater Brewing is expanding its reach in Florida, adding Tampa and St. Petersburg-Clearwater markets through Pepin and Great Bay Distributors – both of which distribute Anheuser-Busch products and an array of craft brands. But brewery spokesperson Steve Farace said the decision wasn’t an easy one.
