River North Brewery Releases Funk the Man #4 Sour Beer and Mr. Sandman Imperial Stout

River North Brewery is bringing back the funk. The brewery’s annual Funk the Man party goes down Saturday,November 12th from Noon to 9pm, featuring Funk the Man #4, the next beer in River North’s irreverent sour series. As a bonus, the brewery will also drop the first full release of Mr. Sandman imperial stout. Both beers will be available on tap and in bottles to go.

Cans of Pumpkinhead — along with cans of Shipyard’s flagship Export Ale, Island Time Session IPA and two beers (Blueberry and Sunfish) from Shipyard’s sister Sea Dog brewery — are now offered on all Elite Airways flights throughout the U.S.

CBA Earnings: Continued Kona Growth Offsets Steep Redhook and Widmer Declines

Craft Brew Alliance (CBA) today released its third quarter earnings results, which were highlighted by a 12.7 percent increase in Kona Brewing shipments and a portfolio-wide net sales growth of 1.1 percent percent compared to the same period in 2015. In a press release, CEO Andy Thomas once again touted the company’s “Kona Plus” strategy — one that combines a nationwide sales effort for the Hawaiian-themed brand with a regional sales approach for strategic partners Cisco Brewers and Appalachian Mountain as well as the more established Widmer Brothers and Redhook labels.

Anheuser-Busch Announces Leadership Changes

As Anheuser-Busch InBev works to integrate recently acquired SABMiller, which it purchased last month for more than $100 billion, the company has announced a number of key executive changes. Marcel Marcondes, who previously served as a vice president of global marketing, will replace Jorn Socquet as the company’s vice president of marketing in the United States. Socquet has been appointed to a new global role as VP of marketing strategy and core brands, the company said via a press release.

Boston Beer Pays Tribute to David Ortiz with Release of Big Hapi Double IPA

Only 541 bottles will be available – one for each homerun Big Papi crushed out of the park throughout his 19 year career. Big Hapi will be available exclusively at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery, and all proceeds from the sale of the beer with go to The David Ortiz Children’s Fund.
