Flagstaff, AZ — Lumberyard Brewing Company is proud to release its third can in The Peaks Series – Snowbound Scotch Ale. This Scotch Ale is one of the perfect beers to warm you up this holiday season. This dark red full bodied malty ale is considerably stronger and relatively low in hop bitterness in order to offset the sweetness of the other highly roasted crystal malts. The finish is clean, crisp and dry (8.0% ABV, 16 IBU). Snowbound Scotch Ale will be available in 12oz cans as well as draft throughout Arizona and on tap at the brewery in Flagstaff.
The Peaks Series was created to highlight Lumberyard Brewing Company’s award winning high alcohol beers, and their connection to Flagstaff. Snowbound Scotch’s can was designed to show the unique feeling that one can have when venturing to the snowy north country that Flagstaff has to offer. Many people throughout Arizona make the trek to visit the snow during the winter months and this beer comforts the drinker like the snow comforts the snowbound. This series is highlighting the various seasons that Flagstaff has to offer along with the seasonality of different varieties of beer.
This series joins Lumberyard’s existing can offerings: Flagstaff IPA, Railhead Red, Knotty Pine Pale and Diamond Down Lager. Snowbound Scotch joins Lumberyard Brewing Company’s High Water Imperial IPA and Big Rapid Imperial Red in The Peaks Series. The next can in the series will be Lumberyard Brewing Company’s first “The Peaks Series” High Water Imperial IPA set to release spring 2017.
