ST. LOUIS — Budweiser has launched its first-ever Twitter account —www.twitter.com/budweiser. The account went live last night. The iconic brand marked the occasion with another “first” involving the Budweiser Clydesdales — tweeting the first photo of a member of the elite ”Budweiser Clydesdales Class of 2013,” a beautiful 150-pound baby born the morning of Jan. 16. EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — El Segundo Brewing Company sent its ?rst production beers out to initial accounts in May 2011. In 2012 we brewed over 1,000 barrels (1 barrel = 31 gallons) and now have over 150 accounts between Santa Barbara and San Diego, and as far East as Redlands. We doubled our original 60 barrel fermentation capacity in June last year, and will be doubling up yet again in March.

Boulevard Brewing announced today that Steve Mills has been named the vice president of sales for the company. Mills previously held dual roles as chief operating officer and the interim vice president of sales of Boulevard, following the departure of Bob Sullivan, who left the brewery earlier this month.

ORANGE, Calif. — Known for showcasing the finest in craft beer, haven collective, owners of Haven Gastropub in Old Towne Orange, has announced that it will keep the spirit of The Bruery Provisions alive with the opening of Provisions next month (143 N. Glassell Street, Orange). The tasting room, bottle shop and specialty market, once owned by OC-based The Bruery, closed earlier this month after more than two years of business, and has been placed in the caring hands of the haven collective team.

HONEOYE FALLS, N.Y. — CB’s Brewing Company in a new initiative inspired through their retail team is releasing a new Tasting Room exclusive, CB’s Grande Vanilla Latte Stout. The beer is brewed with a hefty amount of base and heavily roasted malt to which the CB’s brewers added lactose sugar, vanilla beans and 5 lbs. of fresh Ethiopian roasted coffee from Java’s Café in Rochester, NY.

PITTSBURGH — Penn Brewery is pleased to announce the release of its late winter beers, Penn Chocolate Meltdown Stout and Penn Marzen. HOOD RIVER, Ore. — After over a year of aging deep in the cellar of their brewhouse, Full Sail Brewing will release their 2013 vintage Bourbon Barrel Aged offering,Full Sail Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. This highly anticipated release from the Brewery’s vintage barrel series has been a Full Sail brewing tradition since 1998. Every year since, the Full Sail crew brews an imperial style dark ale and fills roughly sixty oak bourbon barrel casks, then waits patiently for a year.

Following impressive growth through its first full-calendar year, Jack’s Abby Brewing, based in Framingham, Mass., expects continued expansion in 2013. The company, which is the only all-lager brewery in Massachusetts, produced approximately 2,500 bbls in 2012, and according to a press release, expects to increase capacity from 3,500 to 5,500 bbls with the installation of new fermentation tanks.

ATLANTA — The Fat Cat Beer Company, the makers of sessionable, handcrafted beer in a can, announced the addition of Mike Keating as its Supply Manager in Georgia. In this role, Keating will be responsible for opening new accounts, coordinating distribution, conducting off premise merchandising and hosting on-premise promotional events at restaurants, bars, charitable events and tasting centers.
