Press Clips: Suds Stolen from Sweetwater; Brewer Killed in Car Crash

Piero Rodriguez, one of the co-founders of Miami’s M.I.A. Beer Company, died in an auto accident early Sunday morning, according to the Miami Herald. Rodriguez, 34, had reportedly worked late Saturday night and lost control of his car on his drive home.

Yuengling Expands Distribution to Louisiana

D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery, is pleased to announce that it is expanding the distribution of its highly sought-after brands to Louisiana. Four wholesalers have been assigned to distribute Yuengling products in the state. Left Hand Brewing Introduces 2 New Beers

Left Hand Brewing Co. is adding two new 22oz limited release beers to their Big Mo series – Pride Runs Deep and Rye on the Prize. Fort Collins Brewery Ditches Glass Bottles to Package Exclusively in Cans

Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) is excited to announce that they will be moving their entire lineup to cans starting with their 2015 GABF® Gold Medal Winner Oktoberfest, to release in August. The brewery currently has year round beers available in cans, while the small batch Savor Series and seasonals come in bottles. After testing the waters with the core lineup and getting great response from consumers, FCB has decided to dive in with all cans starting in August.

Mims Distributing to Sell Lost Abbey and Wicked Weed Collaboration Brew

Mims Distributing Company, a leading North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor, has announced the release of Ad Idem, a new craft beer brewed through a first-time collaboration between Wicked Weed Brewing in Asheville, North Carolina and The Lost Abbey in San Diego. Over the last year, these two breweries each have produced three unique beers all aged in oak barrels and perfected by the final blend. Ad Idem, in the end, is a French oak-aged golden sour ale with a copious amount of peaches.

Hi-Wire Brewing Expands Distribution in Georgia
