Founders Brewing Co. is happy to announce the second annual KBS Week, in honor of the release of Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) this year. One of the original craft breweries, GLBC has a unique story and distinct heritage that the company plans to bring to the forefront in 2015. The new logo, created by Cleveland advertising agency Brokaw Inc., is not a vast departure from its predecessor. “Est. 1988,” a new addition to the logo, speaks to GLBC’s rich craft brewing history.

Widmer Brothers Brewing announced today that Hopside Down India-Style Pale Lager (IPL) will return to the lineup as the brewery’s new spring seasonal. Hopside Down is aggressively hopped for all the flavor and aroma of a traditional IPA, but cold-fermented with lager yeast for the crisp, clean character and finish of a lager. The hybrid style is a great fit for the spring season – hoppy and refreshing.

With the new year, Alaskan Brewing is releasing a new beer – the rotating Spring Seasonal this year will be Big Mountain Pale Ale. Made with a variety of hops, its flavors range from tropical fruit to resinous pine.

Two Roads Brewing Company’s hometown of Stratford, CT is known for playing a large part in aviation history. Just a mile from where the brewery stands, the world’s first helicopter took off one historic day in 1939 piloted by its designer and legendary aviation pioneer, Igor Sikorsky. His company, Sikorsky Aircraft is still making helicopters in Stratford to this day.

After two years of being in business, Foolproof Brewing Company launched its second expansion this week. The brewery, which pairs high-quality, hand-crafted beers with a variety of life experiences, installed a new 60-barrel fermentation tank (approximately 1,900 gallons), increasing the company’s beer production capacity by 25 percent.
