Heavy Seas Releases 2015 Edition of ‘Yule Tide’

The “Uncharted Waters” Series by Heavy Seas Beer will soon welcome a new edition of Yule Tide. This limited release will be available from November – December in all 18 states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed. Aged in Jamaican rum barrels, this year’s Gingerbread Weizen Doppelbock offers spicy clove-like notes from German weizen yeast.

Anheuser-Busch Provides Emergency Drinking Water to Northern California Firefighters

Anheuser-Busch is providing 2,156 cases of emergency drinking water — or 51,744 cans — to firefighters and relief workers trying to quell wildfires in Northern California. A truck loaded with water arrived last Friday in Sacramento, California. Markstein Beverage, the local Anheuser-Busch distributor, is working with the American Red Cross to distribute the water to firefighters and relief workers battling the Valley, Butte and Rough wildfires.

Alexander Baumgartner Named CEO of Constantia Flexibles

Alexander Baumgartner (51) has assumed his role as Chief Executive Officer of flexible packaging company Constantia Flexibles as of October 1, 2015. He succeeds Thomas Unger, who had led the Group as CEO since 2011.

Devils Backbone Wins Gold at 2015 GABF

Deschutes Brewery Street Pub Raises Nearly $80,000 in Minneapolis

Oregon’s Deschutes Brewery set up the world’s largest pop-up pub in Minneapolis earlier this month and raised a total of $79,700 for Second Harvest Heartland. On September 19, the brewery brought its 402-foot custom, transportable bar to Minneapolis’ North Loop, serving 177 kegs to approximately 12,000 people.

Massachusetts craft brewers are once again asking state officials to reform a 44-year-old state franchise law that governs the relationships between suppliers and distributors.
