Former Lost Abbey Territory Manager Joins Conshohocken Brewing as Head of Sales

Conshohocken, PA – Conshohocken Brewing Company announced that it has added industry veteran Matt Pushinsky as its Head of Sales. Pushinsky joins the team from Port Brewing and The Lost Abbey, where he was the East Coast Territory Manager. He also had significant stints with import suppliers Belukus Marketing and Sovereign Brands.

Pushinsky was drawn to Conshohocken Brewing based on the quality of the brewery’s beer and the potential for growth, among other factors. “Their commitment to both quality and growth, the atmosphere at the brewery and the opportunity to be part of a team at a newer, well-respected brewery make this a great fit for me.” Pushinsky added, “It’s not just my perceptions either. Conshohocken Brewing receives a lot of praise in the market for the quality of their beer, their character and the local, grass-roots efforts pursued by the brewery.”

Co-founders John Remington and Ken Buonocore are confident that the addition of Pushinsky as Head of Sales will be the catalyst for sustained distribution growth in the greater Philadelphia region. “It’s been an incredible journey for us since opening our doors in April 2014,” said Buonocore. “Our production levels have increased to the point that bringing on an experienced leader like Matt is what’s needed to take our distribution to the next level. We have ambitious distribution goals, and Matt is definitely the right person to achieve them.”

Demand for Conshohocken Brewing beers of late has outpaced production capacity – a good problem for a brewery. A driver of the demand is their New Brewery of the Year win earlier this year at the Best of the Philly Beer Scene Awards. Conshohocken Head Brewer Andrew Horne, who started his brewing career at Yards Brewing before heading west to spend time at Avery Brewing, among others, views the award as a nod to the hard work put in by the team and confirmation that the young brewery is heading in the right direction. “Winning New Brewery of the Year is a real honor especially when you look at the other breweries nominated. It shows me that people really like our beer and appreciate our focus on quality and consistency.” Philly Beer Scene Founder Mat Falco gave his thoughts on what it means for a new brewery to be recognized by its peers and craft beer drinkers with the Best New Brewery Award. “For Conshohocken Brewing to be nominated by industry peers for the New Brewery of the Year award is an honor in itself. To then have that nomination backed up by the votes of the knowledgeable and discerning craft beer drinkers in the region means that Conshohocken Brewing did more than a few things right in their first year.”

Based on additions like Pushinsky to an already high performing team, Conshohocken Brewing is positioning itself for continued success. Said Buonocore, “We are proud of how far we’ve come, but we obviously need to keep things rolling. That means continuing to add innovative, high quality beers to our constantly changing lineup, collaborating on beers with local ingredients suppliers, like La Colombe, and sharing our beer with more craft beer drinkers in the area by growing distribution throughout the greater Philadelphia region.”
