ATHENS, GA – Creature Comforts will soon release its third and final 750ml bottle for 2015. Brettomatic is a hoppy Pale Ale fermented 100% with Creature Comforts’ house blend of Brettanomyces that will be available in souvenir bottles on December 6th and 13th at the brewery as a part of a special tour that will cost $35 and include two 750ml bottles.

The bottles will be available for purchase during two special tour session. The tours will be first come, first serve and include live music, a special tasting glass, and up to 36 ounces of on-site samples.

This particular batch of Brettomatic is brewed with Citra hops and is 6% ABV. The flavor and aroma include tropical fruits – kiwi, pineapple, melon, mango, papaya – along with some funk and subtle dry pepper. In the future, the desire is for this beer to become an annual offering that will feature a rotating hop or hop group for each batch.

This is not Creature Comforts’ first foray into the world of hoppy, funky beers. The first 750ml bottle they ever released was a very well received and sought after hoppy American Wild Ale brewed in collaboration with 7venth Sun Brewing Company out of Dunedin, Florida, called Southerly Love. As David Stein, Co-Founder and Brand Development Director explains, “We love the way that hops can interact with Brettanomyces. Our approach emphasizes the flavor and aroma of the hops and avoids extracting bitterness. This makes for a funky and, in this case, tropical fruit driven experience from the Citra hops.”
