Short’s Brewing Co. Launches New Flagship Brand Lil’ Huma IPA

After a successful debut in the Refreshin’ Session variety pack this summer, Lil’ Huma—a session IPA with 95 calories, 4 carbs, and 4.5% abv—has earned a spot in Short’s Brewing Co’s Flagship program (alongside big bro Huma Lupa Licious) and will be available year-round from the brewer.

Vista Brewing Collaborates with Texas Wineries to Release Oenobeer Series

Vista Brewing is excited to announce the release of collaboration wine-beer hybrid ales over two years in the making. The brewery worked with local wineries William Chris Vineyards and Lewis Wines to source fresh, Texas-grown wine grape juice, as well as wine barrels, for this unique project.  The series is available for tasting and to-go at the brewery and will be showcased at two upcoming events.

Jefferson County Ciderworks launched online sales for its award-winning new American ciders. This marks the first time since opening in 2013 that ciders from JeffCo will be available outside of Iowa.

National not-for-profit trade ground the Brewers Association (BA) today announced the organization’s priorities and initiatives for 2021. The BA, which promotes the interests of small and independent craft brewing companies, shared in an email to members that its board of directors held its final meeting of 2020 in which the organization’s 2021 budget was approved and the trade group’s agenda and priorities for the new year were set.

People Moves: Dr. J Jackson-Beckham Takes Full-Time Role with BA; CCBA Appoints New Executive Director

Dr. J Jackson-Beckham has joined the Brewers Association (BA) as equity and inclusion partner, a new full-time role created to “help promote greater diversity, equity and inclusion in the craft brewing industry,” according to a press release. Following the retirement of long-time executive director Tom McCormick, the California Craft Brewers Association (CCBA) has hired Lori Ajax as its next executive director, effective January 4, 2021.

Following incredible demand for its core and seasonal hopped sour releases including now-core brand ‘Strawberry Letter 23,’ Baltimore-based DuClaw Brewing Company is introducing ‘Hoppy Together,’ a simple hopped sour ale into the market as the first for 2021 in the quarterly series, hitting shelves in January.

Craft Breweries in Grand County, Colorado Rally for Fire Relief

Six craft breweries in Colorado’s Grand County have crafted the East Troublesome Pale Ale in response to the East Troublesome Fire that burned 193,812 acres. All proceeds for this beer will be donated to The Grand Foundation to support those that have been affected by the East Troublesome Fire.
