National Ad to Feature Schlafly Bottleworks

Electrical engineering conglomerate Siemens announced today it would launch a national advertisement highlighting how its automation technology has facilitated growth at The Saint Louis Brewery. The ad, titled, “American Manufacturing is Brewing Something Big,” features Siemens’ BRAUMAT Compact PCS7 system, which was used to automate Schlafly’s St. Louis brewhouse and double its production capacity.

Reyes Holdings Acquires Distribution Rights to Coca-Cola in Chicago

Reyes Holdings has signed a letter of intent with the Coca-Cola Company to acquire the distribution rights in the “Chicagoland area,” Coke announced in a statement this morning. Reyes Holdings — which distributes products from MillerCoors and a number of craft breweries — will not become a bottling partner and will not be responsible for the manufacturing of any Coca-Cola products.

San Francisco’s 21st Amendment, which began producing beer under contract at Minnesota’s Cold Spring Brewing Company in 2008, is coming home.
