HOOD RIVER, Ore. — After over a year of aging deep in the cellar of their brewhouse, Full Sail Brewing will release their 2013 vintage Bourbon Barrel Aged offering,Full Sail Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. This highly anticipated release from the Brewery’s vintage barrel series has been a Full Sail brewing tradition since 1998. Every year since, the Full Sail crew brews an imperial style dark ale and fills roughly sixty oak bourbon barrel casks, then waits patiently for a year.
Following impressive growth through its first full-calendar year, Jack’s Abby Brewing, based in Framingham, Mass., expects continued expansion in 2013. The company, which is the only all-lager brewery in Massachusetts, produced approximately 2,500 bbls in 2012, and according to a press release, expects to increase capacity from 3,500 to 5,500 bbls with the installation of new fermentation tanks.
ATLANTA — The Fat Cat Beer Company, the makers of sessionable, handcrafted beer in a can, announced the addition of Mike Keating as its Supply Manager in Georgia. In this role, Keating will be responsible for opening new accounts, coordinating distribution, conducting off premise merchandising and hosting on-premise promotional events at restaurants, bars, charitable events and tasting centers.
BOULDER, Colo. — New Belgium Brewing co-founder and CEO Kim Jordan has been tapped as the keynote speaker for the Brewers Association’s 2013 Craft Brewers Conference (CBC).
