Breakside Brewery to Release Bon Vivant Dry Hopped Belgian Ale

Oregon’s Breakside Brewery has a new barrel-aged beer up their sleeves called Bon Vivant, the latest in the rare limited edition reserve bottlings. This latest creation is a Dry-Hopped Belgian Golden Ale aged in barrels previously filled with Pinot Noir to yield a beer full of pungent fruity hop flavor and aroma and notes of Belgian and wild funky yeasts, cherry, oak and cola.

Brewers Association Expands Tasting Hall, Beer Selections at 2015 GABF

Representing the largest collection of U.S. beer served in a public tasting event, the 34th annual Great American Beer Festival (GABF) grows even grander this year. Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF will offer 90,000 additional square feet in the tasting hall, allowing 60,000 attendees to sample over 3,500 beers from 750 breweries from all over the country.

MillerCoors to Close North Carolina Brewery

In an effort to cut costs amid declining sales, MillerCoors will close one of its eight U.S. brewing facilities, the company announced today. MillerCoors plans to close its Eden, North Carolina location in September 2016. A transition plan is still being finalized, but MillerCoors will “gradually” begin exiting the facility in early 2016, a company spokesman told Brewbound.
