Laurelwood Brewing Co. has announced the release of its spring seasonal, Green Elephant IPA, in six-pack bottles which marks the beer’s debut in this packaging. Green Elephant will join the Portland brewery’s current collection of well-known six-packs on the shelves – Workhorse IPA, Free Range Red, and in cans, Red Elephant India Red Ale (IRA).

Staying true to Green Man tradition, the Grand Opening celebration will be on St. Patty’s Day 2016. Green Man released its first ever bottles on St. Patty’s in 2013, and has continued celebrations for the rollicking holiday.
New Belgium Brewing celebrates its 25th anniversary with the release of five collaboration beers reinterpreting the brewer’s flagship, Fat Tire Amber Ale. New Belgium brewers teamed up with brewing friends at Allagash Brewing Company (Portland, ME), Avery Brewing (Boulder CO), Firestone Walker (Paso Robles, CA), Hopworks Urban Brewery (Portland OR) and Rhinegeist Brewery (Cincinnati, OH) for the project.
Creature Comforts Brewing Company is set to release its first 750-mL bottle of 2016 early this March. Emergence is a balanced, mixed culture, tart blonde ale fermented in wine barrels for a full year. This limited release beer has an ABV of 6.2 percent and is Creature Comforts’ second barrel-aged brettanomyces beer to be released in 2016.

The Lake Havasu City Airport will soon have a new hangar to stop and refuel at, as Hangar 24 Craft Brewery will open a taproom and grill in 3,700-square-foot location that previously housed the Blue Barron Bistro. It will be the first restaurant location for the award-winning brewery out of Redlands, California, that produced approximately 39,000 barrels of beer in 2015, which continues to grow.
Due South Brewing Co. has announced an expansion of their current facility, annexing 12,000 additional square feet of the adjacent bay. Combined, Due South will total over 27,000 square feet.
Crux Fermentation Project announces the introduction of two of its most popular beers — Crux Pilz and Cast Out IPA — in new-to-Crux 6-pack formats. Crux Pilz will be offered in a 6-pack of 12 oz. cans, while Cast Out IPA will be available in a 6-pack of 12 oz. glass bottles.
New Belgium is making its way up the east coast. The Colorado-headquartered craft brewery today announced plans to enter New York, its 44th state, in May. New Belgium, which is on the verge of opening a secondary production facility in Asheville, North Carolina, has signed agreements with 14 wholesalers – eight Anheuser-Busch distributors, four Miller/MillerCoors houses and two independents — for coverage throughout the state
Anheuser-Busch InBev this week announced changes to a U.S. division it calls “The High End,” eliminating the “CEO of Craft” position previously held by longtime executive Andy Goeler. Goeler, who had been focused on growing A-B’s involvement in the craft category, will transition into an expanded vice president of marketing role, working directly with both the company’s acquired craft breweries as well as brands like Stella Artois and Shock Top.
The Portland Timbers season starts this weekend, and Widmer Brothers Brewing is tapping two new Timbers-themed beers at a kick-off party today, March 3, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at the Widmer Brothers Pub on North Russell Street in Portland, where the MLS Cup will also be on display.
Today, Southern Tier Brewing Company (STBC) announced that One Buffalo beer is available in 12-pack boxes. “One Buffalo is an all-season beer, for both the casual beer drinker and craft aficionado – especially Western New Yorkers and sports fans,” said Phin DeMink, founder of STBC. “We continue to see a growing demand for One Buffalo, and so the timing is perfect for launching the 12-pack during hockey season.”
