Revolution Brewing Announces Deep Wood Series Lineup

Following the successful transition of the Deep Wood Series of barrel-aged beers into cans, Revolution Brewing is expanding the lineup in 2018. Six new-to-can beers will join four of last year’s favorites for a total of 10 different barrel-aged varieties.

Willow Rock Brewing Company Releases Congress Lager

Congress beer, last brewed in Syracuse 56 years ago, returned to Central New York, as Willow Rock Brewing Company released an updated version of the historic lager at a special ceremony at the Syracuse Marriott Downtown on August 15, 2018. Willow Rock developed the updated version of Congress in a collaboration with the Onondaga Historical Association (OHA), who secured a copy of the original recipe when the Congress plant closed in 1962.

On the same day that it announced a $4 billion investment into Canada’s Canopy Growth Corporation, Constellation Brands also laid off dozens of employees tasked with selling the company’s craft and specialty beers throughout the U.S. Constellation — whose craft portfolio includes Ballast Point in California, Funky Buddha in Florida and Four Corners Brewery in Texas as well as Mexican import brands Corona, Modelo and Pacifico — terminated around 60 of its 100 or so craft and specialty reps, a source familiar with the situation told Brewbound.
