ePac Flexible Packaging Adds Capacity to Chicago Facility

CHICAGO — Just two months after announcing the addition of a third HP Indigo 20000 digital printing press to its Madison, WI facility, ePac Flexible Packaging today announced the addition of a second press to its Chicago facility.

ePac, an industry leader in fast time-to-market, high quality, short and medium run length flexible packaging, now has eight HP Indigo 20000s in its Chicago, Madison, Boulder, and Miami manufacturing facilities.

According to Virag Patel, ePac’s Chief Operating Officer: “ePac Chicago opened just ninety days ago and we’ve already reached the point where we need more capacity to keep pace with growing demand”.

One ePac Chicago customer, Chris Wilkins, Business Development Manager for Perfect Pasta, Inc. in Addison, IL added: “We were searching for a packaging supplier that understands medium-size businesses like ours, and that we could form a true partnership with rather than the typical vendor-supplier relationship. ePac was recommended to us, and we quickly found that they were a match for what we were looking for to grow our brand effectively. The fact that they are local and serve the greater Chicago market is a huge plus for us”.

ePac serves CPG brands of all sizes and focuses on regionally based, small and medium-size companies. ePac’s digital printing platform enables brands to order to demand, and quickly change graphics and text without incurring plate fees. Further, ePac makes it possible for brands to explore innovative uses for flexible packaging as an element of the marketing mix.

ePac is the first North American company to be built entirely on the latest in digital printing technology from HP, the Indigo 20000. The company began operations in May 2016 in Madison, Wisconsin, followed by Boulder, Colorado in December 2017, Chicago and Miami in early 2018, and additional plants underway in Texas and California.
