SanTan Brewing Releases the Mad Czar

SanTan Brewing Company is excited to launch their third Vault Series installment, the Mad Czar. This brew is a Russian Imperial Stout that boasts a rich and silky, full body taste delivering a malt flavor packed with chocolate, coffee and caramel notes with a dark roast aroma. The Mad Czar has been conditioned for a minimum of eight weeks creating a bold flavor and bringing the ABV up to 9.9%.

As filed by State Sen. Hunter Hill (R-Smyrna), SB 63 would lift the limits currently imposed on the retail privileges of brewpubs and production breweries alike.

Breakside Brewery Announces Release of 2 Limited-Edition Beers

Breakside Brewery is releasing two new limited edition beers in bottles in the next few weeks – Safe Word Triple IPA and Bellwether, a Sour Imperial Wit Gin Barrel-Aged with Kaffir Lime Leaf. Safe Word Triple IPA will have an extremely limited bottling run of 40 cases available only on Zwickelmania February 14th at Breakside Woodlawn and the Breakside Taproom in Milwaukie, Oregon ahead of it’s draft beer release. Bellwether is now available in limited edition 22oz bottles and 1/6 barrel draft.

Milwaukee’s Winterfest Scheduled for February 7

Milwaukeeans enjoy their parks, no doubt about it. However, during the winter months many parks are underutilized. The Milwaukee North Sunrise Rotary Club (MNSRC) is trying to change the status quo in that regard. On Saturday, February 7th, the MNSRC is hosting Winterfest at the Brown Deer Park Clubhouse, 7835 N. TTB: Understating Alcohol Content Biggest Labeling Issue

If the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s (TTB) latest compliance survey is any gauge, about 22 percent of all malt-based beverages have an inaccurate alcohol content posted on their labels. As part of its annual random survey to discern how accurately manufacturers label their products, the TTB found the most common noncompliance issue among malt beverage producers involved understating the ABV of their products.
