Boise Brewing to Sell Core Products in Bottles

Boise Brewing announced today that they will begin selling bottles of their 4 core beers. Local fans will now be able to purchase the Broad St. Blonde, Down Down Extra Pale Ale, Hip Check IPA, and Snowboarder Porter in the Boise Brewing tasting room located at 521 W. Broad Street. In the coming months, look for them in your local grocery stores and bottle shops.

Devil’s Canyon Brewing Adds Western IPA to Core Line-Up

As breweries around the Bay Area prepare for San Francisco Beer Week, Devil’s Canyon announced today that they will be debuting a new addition to their core line of sustainably handcrafted beers – a West-Coast style IPA aptly titled Western IPA. This is the first time in over 3 years the brewery has expanded their core line of products.

Diamond Knot Announces Upcoming Special Releases

The brew crew at Diamond Knot wanted to recognize the Mukilteo light station keepers who aided in navigation after the station’s opening back in 1906, and thus created The Keeper’s Series, a collection of big, bold, cellar-able ales hearty enough for any soul, but limited enough just for the lucky few who can get bottles from the less than 300 cases to be released.

Crazy Mountain Establishes U.K. Importing Arm

Crazy Mountain Brewing today announced it would open its own beer importing company in the U.K., partnering with startup American Craft Beer Company Ltd. for sales, marketing and logistics support. The Colorado-based craft brewery, which is currently distributed in 20 U.S. states and five countries, has leased a warehouse with cold-storage capabilities and will begin self-distributing its products under the name “Crazy Mountain Brewing Company U.K.” next month.

Upland Brewing Co. announced today that it will release Stoaked in February in 4 packs and on draught. It will be available on tap at Upland retail locations starting February 5th. Mims Distributing Picks Up Blake’s Hard Cider Co.

Mims Distributing Company, a wholesale beverage distributor in North Carolina, has added Blake’s Hard Cider Co. to its lineup of brewing partners. The Armada, Michigan-based cidery relies on generations of know-how to grow, press and ferment its apples onsite in order to create a variety of craft and seasonal ciders in high demand across the country. Blake’s Hard Cider Co. will use Mims Distributing to introduce two of the brand’s popular ciders, Flannel Mouth and El Chavo, along with limited and small batch varieties, to educated North Carolina consumers. Each of their cider varieties blends 69 years of apple-growing experience with brewing techniques that produce unique tastes loved by cider enthusiasts across the country.

This year, Chefs Week PDX invited two breweries to join the fun. Everybody’s Brewing was paired with local pastry chef Eve Kuttemann, known for her work at Castagna, Trifecta Tavern, and her own pop-up, Sage Hen. Their goal was to make a beer truly inspired by Kuttemanns baking, which often explores old American recipes. The result was a very unique concept.

Malteurop Sues Proximity Malt, Accuses Former Employees of Conspiracy

Malteurop, a global provider of malt to brewers and distillers, has filed a lawsuit against three former employees and their company, Proximity Malt, a craft beer industry-focused startup that was founded in February 2015. In the suit, filed Dec. 17, 2015 in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Malteurop North America claimed that Proximity Malt and a member of its team stole confidential information that was used to help launch the new company.
