After nine months of searching, Craft Brew Alliance has finally selected the site for its new 30,000 sq. ft. Kona Brewing facility in Hawaii. Located near its original brewpub, the 2.6 acre site in Kailua-Kona will be capable of producing 100,000 barrels and serve as a potential gateway to Far East export markets.

It’s a new year and that means big things for Third Street Brewhouse. Starting in March Third Street will introduce new 16 ounce cans for the first time. Not only that, but the company will also introduce two new beers to their annual line-up.
In the beginning of March, Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) will add a canning line to its facility. Canning is making a comeback in the craft beer world and FCB wants to be part of the rising tide. FCB partnered with Wild Goose Canning, a Boulder-Based canning line manufacturer to engineer the new canning system. According to the company, all parts are American-made with 100% of design, engineering and manufacturing occurring locally in Boulder, Colorado. For Wild Goose, cans benefit both the brewing industry and the consumer.
In January, the Cicerone Certification Program began shipping new flavor training products designed with the small brewery in mind. The new kits provide a turnkey package for training and validation of an in-house taste panel on a budget that small brewers can afford. Cicerone developed the new products in partnership with AROXATM, an international leader in beverage sensory technology.

Oskar Blues Brewery released a year-end review of its growth in 2015 this week, one that boasted of double-digit increases in sales and production for the company. Oskar Blues, the nation’s 24th largest beer maker, saw a 30 percent increase in sales last year, producing some 192,000 barrels of beer by the end of 2015.
