A hoppy accident at Green Flash Brewing Co.’s San Diego brewing facility is the catalyst behind its limited edition holiday release, Jolly Folly IPA. Boldly hoppy, just like the award-winning craft beers the brewery is renowned for, the seasonal offering was created when a newer team member committed a ‘folly’ by mistakenly mixing two different beer tanks, resulting in 500 barrels (or 15,500 gallons!) of the merry new brew
Conshohocken Brewing Company announced that it has added industry veteran Matt Pushinsky as its Head of Sales. Pushinsky joins the team from Port Brewing and The Lost Abbey, where he was the East Coast Territory Manager. He also had significant stints with import suppliers Belukus Marketing and Sovereign Brands.
A federal mediator is slated to oversee negotiations this Wednesday between Portland, Oregon’s Teamsters Local 162 and General Distributors, Inc (GDI), a beer wholesaler responsible for getting brands like Corona, Coors, Sierra Nevada and a number of craft products to market.

Backwoods Brewing Company will be moving its brewing facility to the port of Skamania, on the Stevenson, WA waterfront. The move, which will take place in January, 2016 is exclusively for the production side of the company, as the Backwoods Brew Pub will remain at its current location, in Carson, WA.

Four Headed Wooly Mammoth, a massive 11% ABV Belgian Quad, is brewed with Dark Belgian Candi Syrup (Kandijstroop Donker) in the boil, which provides notes of anise, dark chocolate, caramel & toasted bread. Portland, Oregon’s Breakside Brewery is growing once again and will add a third brewpub location in 2016, the company announced Monday. Slated to occupy 5,000 sq. ft. of space in Portland’s “Slabtown district,” located in the Northwest part of town, Breakside said the new location would open next summer.
