Smuttynose Brewing Company’s Rhye IPA Returns as Year-Round Offering

From one-time offering to seasonal to all year-round. Beginning April 3, Smuttynose Brewing Company’s malted-rye IPA, Rhye IPA, will be available in six and 12 packs of 12 oz. bottles and draft all year-round wherever Smuttynose Brewing Company beers are sold.

Sünner Kellerbier to be Distributed in US in April

Sünner Brauerei was the first brewery in Cologne to label their golden-hued, open-fermented, bracingly dry beer under the name of Kölsch. Although the style had been produced in the city for decades, Sünner was the first to call the beer a kölsch. With that one small gesture of marketing, the world soon recognized Sünner Kölsch as the benchmark of the style and the city of Cologne was forever linked to its local beer.

The Maine Brew Bus, LLC announced that it has acquired Maine Beer Tours, LLC, a similar company providing all-inclusive tours to breweries, wineries, and distilleries in Greater Portland. The purchase will allow The Maine Brew Bus increased passenger capacity and expansion of tour concepts, as well as provide new itineraries for the millions of people that visit Southern Maine.

Andy Goeler Tapped to Lead Bud Light Marketing

Anheuser-Busch InBev today announced that Andy Goeler, the current vice president of marketing for the company’s craft and import focused “High End” division, would take over as the new vice president of Bud Light, the largest beer brand in the U.S. He replaces current Bud Light VP Alex Lambrecht. In an interview with Brewbound, Marcel Marcondes, A-B InBev’s VP of marketing in the U.S., said Lambrecht would help oversee Goeler’s transition into the role of Bud Light VP and remain with the company in a yet-to-be-named position.
