It is no surprise that the team at Diamond Knot Craft Brewing has concern for the many people affected by the fire devastation in Eastern and Central Washington. What was a surprise to some of the team was that one of its own was over on the other side of the state helping with the coordinated fire efforts.
Oskar Blues yesterday reported strong growth through the first eight months of 2015, as the brewery continues to add capacity, expand its portfolio, and fill out its national sales footprint. Year-to-date, depletions are up 28 percent, the company said.

New to this year’s Great American Beer Festival (Denver, CO) is the 30,000 square feet of hall space dedicated to the special “Meet the Brewer” section featuring Shmaltz Brewing Company and upwards of 100 additional breweries. Today the Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) launched an extensive get-out-the-vote campaign throughout the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) community for the Hop the Vote competition. Hop the Vote is a spirited but friendly brewing competition held between the Colorado State House of Representatives and Colorado State Senators.
On Monday, the Dallas-based brewery filed a lawsuit against the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), challenging the constitutionality of a state law that prohibits licensed breweries from selling beer to go from the point of production. Currently, wineries, distilleries, and even brewpub restaurants can legally sell their wares for off-premise consumption.
