Wicked Weed to Expand North Carolina Distribution

Mims Distributing Company and Wicked Weed Brewing are teaming up to turn the Triangle sour. The North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor and the renowned Asheville-based brewery have formed a partnership that will get Wicked Weed’s traditional craft beer styles and their niche sour beers in the hands of patrons of area bars, restaurants, and bottle shops.

Riptide Brewing to Distribute in Florida Markets

Riptide Brewing Company of Naples, Florida announces it has signed a distribution contract with JJ Taylor Distributing. Riptide will begin distributing kegs of their Paddlepuss blonde and Undertow IPA beers to a select group of bars, restaurants and specialty retailers.

Kona Brewing’s Small-Batch Makana Series to Return

Hana hou! Following the debut of its exclusive-to-Hawaii beer series last year, Kona Brewing Company is brewing another round of seasonal Makana Series craft beers. Like last year’s series, each of the beers will be inspired by one of the four natural elements and be made with local island ingredients. Kona Brewing fans fell in love with the small-batch beer series, purchasing thousands of pints of the innovative brews, and, in the process, raised $57,662 for four Hawaii non-profit organizations dedicated to restoring and preserving the state’s precious natural resources.

Just days after Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing announced it would merge with New York’s Southern Tier to form the family office-backed Artisanal Brewing Ventures, a pair of established breweries — Chicago’s Goose Island and Delaware-based brewpub chain Iron Hill — today announced transactions of their own.

Shebeen Brewing, Onyx Moonshine Release New Collaboration

Shebeen Brewing Company announces the release of its first Onyx Moonshine – Secret Stash Whiskey barrel-aged beer, Fuligin Imperial IPA, marking the start of an ongoing collaboration between the two Connecticut beverage producers. The Shebeen-Onyx collaboration series will feature a lineup of high-gravity, small-batch, barrel-aged beers. Fuligin Imperial IPA is a supremely rich, imperialized version of their Black Hop IPA laced with subtle notes of whiskey and oak acquired while aging in the barrels.

Deschutes Brewery Expands Michigan Distribution Footprint

Deschutes Brewery announced today its craft beers will be available in more areas of Michigan beginning March of 2016. The Oregon-based brewery will partner with H. Cox and Son for distribution in and around the Traverse City area, Griffin Beverage Company to fill out the eastern portion of Northern Michigan as well as part of the Upper Peninsula, and Eastown Distributors for Metro Detroit.

Creature Comforts Brewing to Expand Production Capacity

Creature Comforts Brewing Company is expanding its brewing operations with the addition of four new 120-bbl fermenters and one 120-bbl brite tank arriving for installation today. Since opening in 2014, the brewery has invested heavily back into operations, with more than $1.25 million dollars dedicated to new production, packaging, and lab equipment. This expansion will allow the brewery to gradually increase brewing production from its current annual capacity of 15,000-bbls up to 23,000-bbls.
