The Arizona Coyotes and SanTan Brewing Company of Chandler, Arizona announced today the debut of its first-ever beer, a new American Pale Ale called Yotes Pale Ale (YPA). The beer will be available on draft at Coyotes games this season at Gila River Arena beginning onWednesday, Nov. 23 when the Coyotes take on the Vancouver Canucks.

Craft Beer Guild Pays TTB $750,000 to Settle Pay-to-Play Violations

The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) today announced it has accepted a $750,000 payment from Craft Beer Guild, LLC, a Massachusetts-based beer distributor, following its own investigation into allegations that the wholesaler violated state and federal laws prohibiting illegal inducements and unfair trade practices. According to a press statement issued by the TTB — which is responsible for enforcing the provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act (FAA Act) — the Craft Beer Guild payment is the “largest offer in compromise” the agency has ever recovered from a single industry member for trade practice violations.

In the fall of 2014, Harpoon put a hoppy, citrusy, but not tire-out-the-palette-bitter double IPA on tap in their brewery tasting room in Boston. Brewed on Harpoon’s 10-barrel pilot system, the beer was the result of the brewery’s ongoing hop experimentation. It quickly became one of the most sought after beers on tap at the brewery, so last fall Harpoon released it on draft only with limited distribution. Still, fans of the beer clamored for more, and Harpoon was listening. Introducing Harpoon Hoppy Adventure Double IPA, now available in 16 oz. can 4-packs.
