Maine’s D.L. Geary Brewing Co. has been sold to a Freeport businessman, the Portland Press Herald reported this week. Alan Lapoint has reportedly taken over management of Portland, Maine’s first craft brewery and plans to take over ownership of the brewery before the end of the year. A deal for the brewery was officially struck on Wednesday, the Press Herald reported, however a sale price was not disclosed.
Big Lake Holdings closed on the purchase of 13 West 7th street in Downtown Holland, the recent home of Serafina’s Bar and Grill and the former location of Via Maria. The building will serve as the new brewpub and restaurant for Big Lake Brewing currently located in the Ottawa Village Center on the North Side of Holland.

The fun begins at 2 p.m. in the brewery’s Tasting Room located at 1288 Hornet Road in the Cape May Airport. That day, CMBC will have an astounding eight Irish stouts to choose from.
