Sapporo USA Names New President

SAPPORO U.S.A., brewer of premium lagers sold in the United States for more than 50 years, has named Yoshihito Kuzuhara as its President. Kuzuhara will oversee the company’s management and product operations in addition to supporting marketing strategy.

The Unknown Brewing Company Names New Head Brewer

The Unknown Brewing Company, a craft brewery located in Charlotte’s South End, is pleased to announce a new Head Brewer, Chris Wertman. Wertman has worked at The Unknown since June 2016 and was promoted this month from Assistant Brewer to Head Brewer at the brewery.

Unable to Come About, Fat Point Climbs Aboard Seaboard Craft Beer Holdings

Florida’s Fat Point Brewing has finalized its sale to Seaboard Craft Beer Holdings, the parent company of Tampa Bay’s Big Storm Brewing. A purchase price was not disclosed, but Seaboard co-founder L.J. Govoni told Brewbound that the transaction included various brewery assets as well as the rights to the Fat Point brand.
