Epic Brewing Buys California’s Telegraph Brewing

Following an 18-month search for a brewery to purchase, Epic Brewing today announced the acquisition of Telegraph Brewing Company, a California-based beer company that produces a variety of Belgian-inspired beers. Specific financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Beverage Business Conference Attendees Unite to Fuel Ventura County Firefighting Effort

Emerging beverage brands united in their response to the Ventura Country fires by helping to deliver hydration and nutrition to more than 1,100 firefighters battling the blaze. The companies attended the 2017 BevNET Live event in Santa Monica, the largest business conference of new and innovative beverage companies in the country. Hundreds of cases of water, electrolyte beverages and protein drinks being sampled during the annual conference were assembled on Tuesday morning and delivered to responders of the wind-fueled wildfire that has burned more than 65,000 acres.

Cigar City Poised to Eclipse 100,000 Barrels in 2017

After selling 65,000 barrels of beer in 2016, Cigar City Brewing is on pace for a major bump in sales as the Florida craft brewery plans to cross the 100,000-barrel threshold by the end of the year. In an interview with Brewbound, Cigar City brand ambassador Neil Callaghan attributed the growth to expanded production of its flagship brand, Jai Alai IPA, at the start of the year.
