Nickel Brook Brewing Co. announced today that Beer C, the New England IPA, was the winner of the Mystery Pack vote and will be released widely through retail and licensee channels this Spring as Wicked Awesome IPA.
Magic Hat Brewing Company is announcing a new collaboration with legendary Boston Celtic punk rockers, the Dropkick Murphys. The brewer met the band after learning about their non-profit charity, the Claddagh Fund, and soon after, the band visited Burlington to try their hand at brewing alongside Magic Hat’s brewers. The result of their mutual love of charity and ale is Barroom Hero.
Twenty three breweries have joined in to each brew a batch of beer using the same yeast strain throughout the project. Called the Houston Daisy Chain Experiment, the yeast will begin its journey at Southern Star Brewing Co. in Conroe, Texas, then be harvested by the other participating breweries until they’ve all brewed and released their unique beers to the public.
Sprecher Brewery plans to open a taproom in a space two blocks away from the original brewery – 706 S. 5th St., the space previously occupied by Brenner Brewery — which recently became available. Randy Sprecher seized the opportunity to open an off-site taproom, which it is calling “Sprecher Milwaukee.”

Maui Brewing Company will open its second Maui restaurant on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at its Kihei brewery location. The 8,500 square-foot restaurant will bring brewery-to-table dining to life while continuing to build upon the innovative, independent spirit of its craft brewing heritage.

Santa Fe Brewing Company (SFBC), “New Mexico’s Original Craft Brewery,” posted record growth in 2017 and is poised to continue that momentum into 2018 and beyond. While SFBC’s business grew across it eight state distribution area, New Mexico led the way, growing by 28% in total and paced by 31% growth of its’ flagship brew, and the #1 selling craft beer in New Mexico as measured by IRI scan data, Happy Camper IPA.
Tampa Bay Brewing Co. (TBBC), one of Florida’s oldest independent craft breweries, announced today that 2017 sales increased by more than 27% over the year previous, buoyed significantly by growing demand for their flagship Reef Donkey APA, Old Elephant Foot IPA, and a series of seasonal beers.
Voodoo Brewery Co. has announced expanded distribution plans, partnering with Cavalier Distributing as their distributor the state of Florida.
