Barrels & Bottles Brewery Releases Dusty Bottoms Berliner Weisse

Barrels & Bottles Brewery celebrated their 300th brew in May with a little help from their friends. Former head brewers Shaun Salyards (head brewer of Red Truck Brewing in Fort Collins, CO) and Cory Carvatt (head brewer of Little Machine in Denver, CO) returned to the brewery to team up with current head brewer Greg Moore and craft Dusty Bottoms, a special Berliner Weisse using tamarind, a sweet and sour fruit indigenous to the tropics of Africa.

Oskar Blues Announces Partnership with Keep Tahoe Blue

Oskar Blues Brewery – the maker of the Original Craft Beer in a Can, Dale’s Pale Ale – is proud to announce their new partnership with conservation organization, Keep Tahoe Blue. The 18-month-long partnership will include fundraising efforts led by Oskar Blues Brewery’s distributor partners and various events to raise environmental awareness. Oskar Blues Brewery will also donate beer for thirsty, of-drinking-age volunteers to crush when they’re done working hard on conservation efforts.

idge Cider, one of Michigan’s fastest-growing hard cider producers, announced today the addition of the Pure Michigan logo to its new hard cider packaging, signifying that the company’s hard cider is made with at least 75 percent ingredients grown in Michigan. Ridge uses whole apples grown locally on the Fruit Ridge, West Michigan’s legendary apple country, as the base and main ingredient for its hard ciders.

Thomas Creek Brewery Eyes Potential Sale

After 20 years of brewing beer in South Carolina, Thomas Creek Brewery is considering a possible sale of the business, co-owner Tom Davis told Brewbound. Thomas Creek, which brews its own line of beers as well as a variety of other labels for large and small companies alike, including Bacardi, has retained brokerage firm National Restaurant Properties to secure upwards of $8 million to expand the Greenville-based craft brewery.

Santa Fe Brewing Company (SFBC), New Mexico’s Original Craft Brewery, is breaking ground this week on a project that includes a new three-story beer hall, an expansive beer garden to include a host of outdoor games, a kid’s area, community fire pit and landscaping watered by their on-site water treatment facility, and an underground barrel aging tasting room.

After closing two production facilities, laying off 76 employees, pulling distribution from 42 states and being sold by its bank to a new investor group, Green Flash has finally commenced operations at the Green Flash Brewhouse & Eatery in Lincoln, Nebraska.
