March First Manufacturing, LLC, the parent company of March First Brewing, FigLeaf Brewing and Cincinnati Distilling has signed a deal to purchase The Woodburn Brewery and Taproom in East Walnut Hills. The deal includes the building, brewing equipment and the intellectual assets of Woodburn although the rest of the terms have not been disclosed.
Urban South Brewery, the largest craft brewery in New Orleans, today announced its beer release schedule for 2021. Adding to its growing beer portfolio, Urban South has several new seasonal craft beer offerings, a line of hard seltzers, and a series of specialty releases joining its year-round fan favorites.
Plans are to move the distillery to its permanent home on the waterfront in a former fish processing plant adjacent to Buoy Beer. The new distilling facility will include a new 5,000-liter copper pot still and column (a significant upgrade from the current 950-liter still), a new fermentation cellar with a mash mixer and a mash filter, and a 12,000 sq. ft. second floor devoted to barrel aging.
