Denver's independent brewery Ratio Beerworks is closing out 2025 with its strongest performance ever. Ratio's 13% growth overall is led by a 9% increase in draft and a 25% surge in packaged beer following its first full year of state-wide distribution.
2025 growth is led by the approachable flagship Cityscapes Mexican-style Lager (4.8% ABV), Sparks Fly Juicy IPA (6.2% ABV), and the brewery's award-winning (and convention-defying) taproom-favorite King of Carrot Flowers Carrot Elderflower Saison (5.8% ABV). Looking ahead to 2026, Ratio will elevate two seasonal favorites to year-round distribution status: No Shade Pilsner (5.0%) and Antidote West Coast IPA (6.7%).
"Trends in beer are heading both directions. Clean, classic styles like pilsners are a huge driver of growth for us, and we're gearing up to release our popular No Shade Pilsner this winter as a year round beer in cans for the first time," said Jason zumBrunnen, co-founder of Ratio Beerworks. "On the other end, full flavored and nuanced styles like our King of Carrot Flowers carrot and elderflower saison are growing, too."
Founded in 2015, Ratio has been an inclusive hub for Denver's arts and culture scene, hosting music and art events at its taprooms in Denver's RiNo and Overland neighborhoods and donating 3% of its annual beer production to nonprofit organizations across Colorado. In November, Ratio was awarded RiNo Art District's inaugural Creative Business Award for its impact and involvement in the River North Art District since it first opened its doors on Larimer Street in 2015.
Staying true to its roots in the punk music scene, Ratio partners with independent venues and musicians through its Ratio Sessions series, an intimate concert program that brings touring bands into its two Denver taprooms for live music, meet-and-greets, and special beer releases.
Ratio proudly supports Colorado's creative community, partnering with a wide spectrum of cultural and arts organizations like the Telluride Film Festival and the 48th Denver Film Festival, along with contemporary art hubs such as MCA Denver, Invisible City, and Spectra Art Space. This year, the brewery also joined forces with CU Boulder, releasing its Stay Black & Gold lager to celebrate the university's homecoming.
The success of Cityscapes across Colorado's Front Range is a nod to the state's appreciation of Denver's urban arts scene, and Ratio's unique ability as Denver's brewery to bring the inclusivity of the arts to fridges and taps across Colorado.
Stop by Ratio's taprooms in RiNo at 2920 Larimer Street or in Overland at 2030 S. Cherokee Street, or look in the cooler of your favorite craft beer retailer for Ratio beers like Cityscapes, a crushable Mexican-Style Lager (4.8% ABV), and King of Carrot Flowers, the GABF Gold Medal-winning Carrot Elderflower Saison (5.8% ABV).
