Reyes Beverage Group, via its Premium Distributors outfits in Virginia and Washington D.C., has acquired the distribution rights to a pair of the most prominent craft brands in the country. In two separate announcements, the company said it purchased the rights to Lagunitas Brewing – already one of its top craft suppliers – and Stone Brewing, which is building a second brewing facility in the area.

Innis & Gunn Releasing Bourbon Aged Dark Ale

Innis & Gunn, the award-winning independent brewer of oak-aged beers, is releasing a new winter seasonal beer in the United States. Bourbon Aged Dark Ale (7.4%) is a cola-colored ale made with Innis & Gunn’s house ale malt, crystal and toasted malts, roasted barley and Super Styrian Goldings hops.

Center for Alcohol Policy Marks Anniversary of 21st Amendment

On Saturday, December 5, the Center for Alcohol Policy will commemorate the 82nd anniversary of the ratification of the 21st Amendment to the United States Constitution. On that date in 1933, Prohibition ended in the United States when 36 states (the requisite three-fourths majority of the then 48 states) ratified the 21st Amendment to the United States Constitution, thereby repealing the 18th Amendment which began Prohibition in 1920.

First ApoWave Hop Extraction Cavitation System to be Installed at Witch’s Hat Brewing Company

Hydro Dynamics, Inc, would like to announce that its technology integrated into the ApoWave© hop extraction technology will have its first commercial brewery installation at Witch’s Hat Brewing Company in South Lyon, MI. Witch’s Hat’s award winning beers are sold around Michigan as well as its own bar at the brewery.
