Saint Archer Brewing Expands Distribution to Las Vegas

Saint Archer Brewing Company is proud to announce the expansion of its line of craft beers to Las Vegas, Nevada. Starting August 15th, the brand’s core and specialty beers will be available in 6-pack cans, draft and 22-ounce bottles throughout the state of Nevada.

John Cochran, who last month sold Terrapin Beer Company to MillerCoors, is diving headfirst back into the beer business with a new craft brewery venture in Asheville, North Carolina. Using proceeds from the sale of Terrapin, Cochran said he has purchased the assets of Altamont Brewing and will rebrand the company as UpCountry Brewing.

Heineken USA Brings Red Stripe Production Back To Jamaica

Today, HEINEKEN USA celebrates the official First Run of Red Stripe to come off the line in Jamaica. Following the acquisition of a controlling stake in October 2015, HEINEKEN has been working towards repatriation of the production of Red Stripe beer from North America back to the brand’s home country, Jamaica.

Saugatuck Brewing Co. Expands Distribution to Florida

Pabst Inks Deal to Produce Stroh’s Beer at Brew Detroit

The Stroh Brewery Company will once again brew beer in Detroit with the return of Stroh’s Bohemian-style Pilsner on August 22. “Stroh’s is Detroit,” said Dan McHugh, CMO of Pabst Brewing Company. “By reintroducing Stroh’s Bohemian-style Pilsner and brewing in the city, we are tapping into the history and heritage of Stroh’s and the innovation and hard work of the people of Detroit.”

Crisp Malting Group Announces Leadership Changes

When Euan Macpherson joined Crisp Malting Group in 1987, the company was making 120,000 tonnes of malt a year. During his tenure, production has more than trebled to an annual output of 430,000 tonnes: 5% of EU output. This means that Euan has overseen the production of enough malt to make over 64 billion pints of beer, enough to give every person in the UK 1,000 pints each.

Night Shift Brewing Adds Warehouse, Doubles Footprint

Night Shift Brewing just signed a 10-year lease on a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Chelsea, MA. This effectively doubles the brewery’s footprint, adding to its 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Everett, MA (a five minute drive from the Chelsea warehouse). The lease, which begins in October, will allow the Everett location to focus on making beer and adding tank space, while the Chelsea location will serve in a supportive role, storing raw ingredients and finished product.

In this week’s Last Call: Milwaukee Brewing has announced plans to significantly expand its operations in Brew City, inking a lease agreement for 58,000 sq. ft. of space on the site of the original Pabst brewery; BrewDog reportedly plans to spend about half of the $50 million it is currently trying to crowdfund to build out a number of BrewDog-branded bars in the U.S., according to a report from restaurant briefing service Propel Info.
