Victory Brewing Company’s daylong celebration and fundraiser, Victory for the Headwaters, scheduled for September 12th, has been cancelled due to low water levels in the Brandywine River. The lack of rain combined with soaring temperatures, has made portions of the river impassable via canoe, impeding the clean up efforts.*

MicroStar Logistics today announces that it has acquired KegCraft, a regional supplier of keg management services for midsize craft brewers. This acquisition complements MicroStar’s national network of 2-million+ kegs, the largest independently-owned float in North America, utilized by ~half of the 50 largest craft brewers.

Less than one month after it announced the acquisition of four wholesalers in Colorado, Anheuser-Busch InBev today announced another set of distributor transactions in California. In a statement, Bob Tallett, A-B InBev’s vice president of business and wholesaler development, said the company has agreed to acquire a stake in the Oakland, Calif.-based Horizon Beverage Company. In a second transaction, A-B will repurchase its brand rights from M.E. Fox & Company Inc., a beer and non-alcoholic beverage distributor based in San Jose, Calif.
Anheuser-Busch today announced a $170 million expansion project at its Metal Container Corporation (MCC) facility in Jacksonville. As part of the company’s plan to increase production of the popular Budweiser and Bud Light aluminum bottles, the project will create approximately 75 new jobs at the facility.
