Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, will acquire Mexico’s biggest beer company, Grupo Modelo, in a deal valued at $20.1 billion. It’s the second biggest beer deal since the Belgium-based InBev acquired Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion back in 2008.

On Monday, Grupo Modelo confirmed reports that it was in acquisition talks with global brewing giant Anheuser-Busch InBev. UBS, the financial services company headquartered in Switzerland, released a 23-page report assessing the potential deal. UBS sees the acquisition as “strategically compelling,” calling it a “classic” ABI deal.
Following the July Fourth weekend, Karl Strauss Brewing Co. will send its first shipments of Red Trolley Ale and Tower 10 IPA into Northern California, marking the first time in the company’s 23-year history that its beers will be available for regular distribution outside of Southern California.
