The craft beer category continued to capture on-premise market share in the third quarter despite what GuestMetrics calls the “weakest” of the year for all alcohol categories. According to the on-premise data supplier, on-premise beer volumes are down 5.2 percent in the last four weeks and 3.7 year-to-date.

Patrick Crawford, co-owner of Denver Beer Co., brewed his first beer in the bathtub of a 400 square-foot apartment in Colorado Springs, according to the company’s website. The company has come a long way since then — and it will soon have more than 100 times that space to call its own.
Rapidly growing Founders Brewing Co. today announced that it is expanding its distribution territory to include Kansas and Nebraska.
