Golden Road Debuts Better Weather as Part of Custom IPA Series

Los Angeles, CA — Just as Los Angeles braces for frigid temperatures of 65-70 degrees (e.g. winter in Los Angeles), Golden Road Brewing debuts Better Weather IPA this Saturday, October 26, it’s ode to “light sweaters and flip-flops” and the third beer in their Custom IPA series. Developed by brewmaster Jesse Houck, Better Weather IPA is Golden Road’s answer to traditional “winter warmers”.

Says Golden Road Brewmaster Jesse Houck: “Better Weather IPA carries smooth toffee undertones balanced by a huge hop character for a marriage of seasonal flavors and West Coast propensities.”

Adds Co-Founder Meg Gill, “When Tony convinced me to move to LA to build a brewery together, his one-liner, was ‘You’ll love it, the weather’s better.’ This beer exhibits the best of LA and is some of our favorite beer yet.'”

Following the success of Heal the Bay and Burning Bush in Golden Road’s Custom IPA can series, Better Weather is available on select shelves and limited release draft throughout the greater Los Angeles area through January 2014.

At 9.4% ABV and about 92 IBUs, the India Pale Ale offers the warmth of a winter beer while favoring the grapefruit pith, resin and stone fruit notes of West Coast hop profiles — veering away from the holiday spices typical of winter beers. Better Weather will be available in Golden Road’s signature tall-boy 16oz cans, and will retail in packs of four.
