Red Hare Brewing Company Launches India Pale Radler

Red Hare SPF 50/50 is a refreshing blend of the brewery’s top selling Gangway IPA and its house-brewed sparkling grapefruit soda, creating the world’s first India Pale Radler (IPR). Traditionally, European radlers combine a lighter style beer with lemonade to produce a 2-3% alcohol brew, prefect for the warmer months. Red Hare is the first brewery to take a unique twist on the radler concept by using their higher gravity, multi-hopped India Pale Ale spun with their sweet grapefruit soda.

MillerCoors Introduces Coors Peak Golden Lager

Following a strong launch in the Pacific Northwest last year, MillerCoors is proudly expanding its naturally gluten-free Coors Peak offering with a second style, Golden Lager. Like its predecessor Copper Lager, Coors PeakGolden Lager is brewed with 100 percent all-natural, gluten-free ingredients including California brown rice and Pacific Northwest hops. While Copper Lager is a rich copper color with a slight caramel profile, Golden Lager is bright and balanced, with a toasted malt backbone and hints of citrusy hops.

Hopsy Launches Delivery in San Francisco

Hopsy, the recently launched online marketplace for local craft beer, today announced the launch of its service in San Francisco. Beginning today, San Francisco residents can get growlers of local craft beer delivered right to their doorstep.

Second Self Brewing to Begin Canning

Starting May 1st, Second Self Beer Company will begin to can its own beers at the brewery. This news follows the announcement that Second Self is expanding production output and facilities with new brewing equipment and a new tasting room, debuting early this summer. The Georgia craft brewery opened in Atlanta in fall 2014, and due to demand, its production has been at capacity since March 2015.

Short’s Brewing to Install Canning Line

Short’s Brewing Company of Elk Rapids, Michigan announces plans to package their beers and Starcut Ciders in cans for the first time. Based in Northern Michigan, the company sees this addition to their lineup as a step towards reaching customers enjoying activities better suited for non-glass containers. An initial can roll out will include beers from their flagship lineup as well as a selection from their hard cider brand, Starcut Ciders.

Alabama lawmakers passed a bill late yesterday evening that, if signed into law, would grant limited direct-sales privileges to brewers in the state and clean up other other outdated alcohol industry regulations. Now en-route to governor Robert Bentley’s desk, Senate Bill 211, the companion draft of House Bill 176, would give small brewers in Alabama the right to sell up to 288 oz. of beer directly to consumers for off-premise consumption.

Rochester Mills to Release Tongue Tied Cherry Saison

Rochester Mills Beer Co. & Production Brewery announce a 2016 seasonal release of Tongue Tied Cherry Saison, a Belgian style wheat ale set for April 4th. Tongue Tied Cherry Saison was introduced as a draft only release last year. Due to the popularity of the beer and the investment in can labeling technology, Tongue Tied will now be available for enjoyment during the Spring and Summer seasons on draft and packaged in 16 oz. aluminum cans across Rochester Mills’ full distribution network beginning April 4.
