First Key Consulting Announces New CEO Kelly Heyworth

After 11 years of leadership, Heather Pilkington will retire as CEO & Managing Director at First Key Consulting at the end of 2025. Over her tenure at First Key, Heather guided the firm through significant growth, fostered enduring client relationships and a culture of excellence and collegiality that continues to define First Key as the premier consulting partner to the global brewing and beverage industry.

Reflecting on her journey, Heather shared: "Working with our team of consultants and partners to help clients reach their goals has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional life. I am thankful for the opportunities I have had to grow with First Key and for the many great friendships formed along the way."

We are delighted to announce that Kelly Heyworth has joined First Key and will be stepping into the role of CEO at the end of 2025.  Kelly brings over 30 years of hands-on global beer and beverage experience, having held senior executive roles in North America, Europe and Africa. Her background includes serving as Global Sales Vice President at Diageo and in senior leadership positions at AB InBev. 

Kelly shared her excitement about the transition: "I am honored to join First Key as CEO and to build on the strong foundation Heather and the team have created. First Key's strength has always been its people; their expertise and their partnerships with clients that deliver long lasting impact. I look forward to working alongside our team and clients to shape the next horizon for the business."

Heather will remain closely involved with First Key in an advisory role supporting Kelly and the team.
