Trappist monk beer from Spencer Brewery, owned and operated by the Trappist monks of St. Joseph’s Abbey in Spencer, Massachusetts will soon be available in Oakland and Macomb counties. Spencer recently signed on with Powers Distributing of Orion Township to bring these beers to Michigan – one of only five states to carry the product. There are only 11 Trappist breweries in the world and Spencer is the first and only in the United States.
