Yards Brewing Company Collaborates P.J. Whelihan’s on P.J. the Elf IPA

The thirsty folks at P.J.W. Restaurant Group are excited to announce the newest beer collaboration: P.J. the Elf’s IPA–brewed exclusively for the group by Yards Brewing Company. P.J. the Elf’s IPA is an American IPA available next week at select P.J. Whelihan’s and all three The Pour Houses in PA and NJ.

Maui Brewing Co. Bottles Imperial Coconut Porter

Based on popular consumer demand, Maui Brewing Company’s bottling project continues with a limited release of the 2016 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal Field Beer champion, Imperial Coconut Porter. A deeper, more intense version of MBC’s flagship Coconut Hiwa Porter, Imperial Coconut Porter is brewed with hand toasted coconut, and subtle hints of cacao and coffee.

Urban Artifact Releasing Barrel-Aged Imperial Amber Lager

Urban Artifact, Cincinnati’s wild culture expert, is set to release the first barrel aged bottled beer offering since opening as draft-only in April 2015. A bottle launch in the brewery’s Northside taproom, located at 1660 Blue Rock Street, is set for December 16th at 4 pm. The initial launch will include Thoroughbred, which is a bourbon barrel aged imperial amber lager aged with Brettanomyces claussenii.

New Belgium Hires Sustainability Specialist at Asheville Brewery

New Belgium Brewing recently expanded their three-person Fort Collins- based sustainability team, bringing on Sarah Fraser as the new Sustainability Specialist at their Asheville, NC brewery. Fraser will start her new role in spring 2017 after the birth of her first child, to support New Belgium’s sustainability and environmental stewardship programs as they pertain to the Asheville brewery and operations.

San Francisco Brewers Guild Announces Official 2017 Collaboration Beer for SF Beer Week

The SF Beer Week Opening Gala, the top-tier regional invitational festival that kicks off the festivities at Pier 48 (San Francisco, CA) on February 10, will spotlight flavor-driven brewing innovations glass by glass. Revelations and discoveries will continue through hundreds of thirst-quenching events around the greater San Francisco Bay Area, wrapping up on February 19. Northern California’s finest breweries are hard at work planning for an incredible week with nearly 200 events already live on the schedule at sfbeerweek.org. Tickets to the Opening Gala are now on sale (VIP: $120/GA: $80). VIP tickets include early entry at 5 pm and a SF Beer Week t-shirt; General Admission runs 6 pm – 10:30 pm.

Two Beers Brewing’s Overhang Imperial Porter Returns

The tree is trimmed and the stockings are hung, but the holidays wouldn’t be complete without a bottle of 2016 Overhang Bourbon Imperial Porter from Seattle’s Two Beers Brewing Company. Part of the brewery’s popular Alta Series, available in 22-ounce wax-dipped bottles, Overhang is a uniquely boozy beer perfect for the season, aged in bourbon barrels for six months with cocoa, cinnamon and a touch of cloves. The result is a roasted caramel and molasses nose with a rich brown head. Brewed with Cascade hops, this limited edition beer offers a 12.4 ABV and 60 IBUs, sure to put anyone in the holiday spirit. With only 75 cases available, craft beer lovers can stock up and check a few people off their holiday list starting this Friday, December 16 at 3pm when Overhang hits taps and shelves at The Woods tasting room in SoDo.

Transwestern today announces Chesapeake Beverage Co. (CBC) signed a 244,656-square-foot warehouse lease at 10000 Franklin Square Drive in White Marsh, Maryland. Tom Gentner, Brian Watts and Brian Siegel of Transwestern represented the building owner, Principal Real Estate Investors, in the transaction.
