Biscayne Bay Brewing, a locally owned and independent brewery, is excited to announce the highly anticipated opening of their flagship location in Downtown Miami. This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone as it becomes the first-ever brewery and taproom in the heart of Downtown Miami.

Heineken and several of its subsidiaries have dropped their trademark infringement complaint against Biscayne Bay Brewing and signed a covenant not to sue the Miami-based craft brewery. “The parties have jointly agreed to resolve their trademark dispute,” a Heineken spokesperson told Brewbound.

Heineken USA today announced a pair of sports sponsorships — including the company’s first National Football League partnership — signaling the company’s ongoing interest in building its business with professional sports leagues, teams and arenas. However, the company remains embroiled in what started as a trademark infringement lawsuit and has evolved into a trade practice dispute between the Duch beer giant and Miami-based Biscayne Bay Brewing centered around the latter’s now terminated sponsorship with the Inter Miami MLS team.

Miami-based Biscayne Bay Brewing has filed a lawsuit against La Tropical Holdings B.V. and Cerveceria La Tropical USA LLC, alleging that they and their parent companies, Heineken N.V. and Heineken USA, have no basis for their claims of trademark infringement. Those claims, the company alleged, cost Biscayne Bay a commercial relationship with Major League Soccer franchise, team Inter Miami CF.

Biscayne Bay Brewing Company is giving back to support local marine conservation efforts through a new partnership with the South Florida National Parks Trust (SFNPT). For every can of the company’s craft Lite Haus Pilsner sold in South Florida, Biscayne Bay Brewing will donate a portion of the sales to support the nonprofit work of the SFNPT.
