Carolina Bauernhaus is releasing the 2017 blend of Keowee on Black Friday

Keowee is a Cherokee word meaning ‘Place of the Mulberries’ and we think it fits perfectly for our red wine barrel fermented and aged version of our 18 Mile Red sour ale with mulberries added.

The ale was fermented using our house blend of native yeasts and local bacteria isolated by South Yeast Labs. After letting this rustic refined ale age for nearly a year it was blended with dried
and fresh locally foraged mulberries and aged for another two months. The resulting red ale has a puckering acidity paired with juicy berry notes balanced by an vinous barrel character.

500ml bottles will be releasing at noon in the taproom.
